Starter Survival Food Storage

These are easy painless items for those that haven't started. It is good to think of things that will not use food items that were to spoil (like milk) as an additional ingredient. This is mainly for if there was a huge disaster where we were not able to get to the grocery store. If you can think of other food items things that have shelf life please let me know so I can add them.

Purchase:
-Ramen Noodle Soup (10 per person in your household)
-Rice Sides (8 per person) You can add boiled water to the bag to cook. Do not purchase noodles as they will get soggy in this proses.
-Paper clips (to seal the rice sides bags while they cook)
-granola bars (1 box per person I buy the cheap wal-mart brand that has 24 in the box)
-Canned food
-Water purification tablets (approximately 15 gallons per person)
-First aid kits.
-Water (At least 4 Gallons per person for a start add more as you can).
-Extra prescription medicine, personal needs. (cycle depending on shelf life)
-Diapers/pull-ups
-Formula for babies.
-Feminine products.
--- the list goes on. This list is just intended to get you thinking. You know what your families needs are so the best thing is to think of every need you have and purchase enough to last you a few months. The best way is to purchase a few things that are on your list every time you go shopping so it is not overwhelming. Use the savings tab on the left to help you save money.

Store all of your survival items in a safe place where they would not be touched. You don't want to dip into your survival items because then you wouldn't have the necessities when you really need them.

*Also every few months check back into your items to see if there is anything that has expired or items that you no longer need ex. you kid no longer wears diapers.
